...the day brought such joy to me and a new female togetherness. There was lots to say, touch, experience silently, hear and do.

Bev

I met some amazing fellow women ... and we managed to weave new words and magic throughout the sunshiney afternoon while listening to music and the soothing sounds of Tumaini's sewing machine. It was an uplifting few hours and I came away having made new words and friends.

Ebele is the midwife of creative writing, she comforts you at the shock you’re going to be a mother of your own words. ...holds your hand and gently guides you through the labour of words (pain free) & before you know it, you have given birth to your own cute, little poem. Fantastic! Brilliant! Enjoyable!

This workshop was a much needed dose of creativity through tired veins. I left with a gift of orange and gold embroidered memories. Spools of colour and the scent of creativity will spin their way to pattern your page.

I never thought that I would find myself at a workshop on a blustery autumn afternoon and believe the possibilities to be true but that is where I was last weekend. After far too long being anchored to a stubborn depression, brought on in part by sustaining an unhappy relationship and partly by its end, I saw what it was like to be part of something. That something means more than the warmth of my ex lovers embrace when the love has gone sour. There were no lightning flashes or emotional outbursts and in its place just a quiet and sustained kindness. I felt what it was to care and be cared for again. The truth of it was gorgeous in its simplicity and it enabled me to see some of my more difficult relationships anew.

The love I felt. from Sunday's workshop. incredible. the good and the goddess still exist. glad my eyes have been opened to it. It was so much to take in. that night I dreamed of...

Voluptuous Black Mamas dancing down the street, the silhouettes of their labia seen thru the moonlight, dancing, all powerfull, all at peace.

Thank you for awakening part of me, that was a bit dormant, or overpowered.

What a fabulous day yesterday was and what fabulous women/love/spirits. So happy to be part of it!

all love and mango sweet kisses!!

Ebele's workshops create a comfortable and comforting environment in which women can talk, laugh, write, create, and just be. The fact that they are held in her home makes it a really personal experience, and there is no pressure to perform exercises to a certain standard, but rather with honesty and passion. Ebele creates a really warm, safe and open environment in which to be creative and I would recommend these workshops to women everywhere!

What a beauty-full session we had on Sunday! Helped me get through Monday with a smile (almost). Last night I dreamt I was a powerful white witch with magical powers - maybe the goddess in me was awakening? Anyway enough weirdness....

The workshop was empowering, interesting, fun, creative and comfortable. Comfortable may not sound like much but comfort is so important and people forget that...

Thanks again for sharing and for helping us to share :-)

I would like to thank you all for enabling me to believe that there are truly good people left in this world. I cannot describe how pleasurable Sunday evening was except to say when is the next episode.

Can i say a big thank you for your company, love and inspiration on Sunday. I am the most agnostic, sceptic and non-believer and normally i have to see a thunderbolt striking in front of me after a question aimed at the universe to believe! But meeting you on Sunday and in a particularly negative week, where i lost hope for men and women alike, really shown me the amount of divine love that is out there and it is just finding where it flows and go and receive abundantly...So im very grateful for meeting you ladies, you did something beautiful for me on sunday!

thank you Ebele for organizing this, a truly amazing experience, thank you

Ebele is an enthusiastic, intuitive & skilled facilitator & teacher. We've worked with her on writing, poetry & storytelling projects as part of Inspired Word. As a tutor she has always sought to bring out the best in our clients. She brings a wealth of experiences & excellent resources & materials that enhance her workshops. She's had thank you letters & our women have requested that we work with her in our autumn programme.

I've learnt to appreciate myself a bit more...

I liked the way you were very open to our suggestions...I thought you were very caring & nice but strict when you needed to be. It was a very informing 14 wks. I really enjoyed it....thanks ebele. Mwah! :-)

I'm very pleased & feel that I've found some new qualities in myself. At first, I wasn't sure what to expect, but as it progressed, I got really into the program. Ebele was very good in communicating with us & she understood our views.

Thanks for the workshop - was really fun - you are fantastic - truly a 'phenomenal woman'! Also you have cool hair!

Every time I leave a Phenomenal-Woman session, I feel a sense of realness, belonging, a yearning for more, I feel a re-newness of spirit, I feel that I have been blessed. I truly believe that you are an angel of God. Put on this earth to help us women realize that we are precious gifts to mankind. It has been said that Adam was a test run and Eve was made with perfection! If only you could reach out to all women, life would be a lot easier for them. Just having faith and drawing down from inside can inspire a woman to achieve anything.

Karen Small (participant)

I feel I got loads out of the session, a chance to talk and share experiences with other women - one of my favourite things is to be sat in a circle with a group of women. I enjoyed the creative way that the session was run, it seemed to roll together different aspects of expression through writing, role playing and singing... made me look at things in a fresh way rather than the boring standard way of just discussing things. It inspired me to be original in the work that I do with women teaching self defence and assertiveness.

Clarity.......I feel lighter after the session.

I felt it was very inspiring, relaxing and beautiful. It freed up my mind and gave me lots of ideas that I think I'll use in my writing. I met some cool women and it was a really fun and creative way to spend an afternoon.

The paintings were amazing. I really loved having them as a stimulus for the workshop. Other strengths I'd say were the whole atmosphere that was created by Ebele. It felt very relaxed and safe, like stepping into a whole different space separate from the world outside. The herbal teas, juice, fruit and most especially the chocolate helped with this! Also playing Zena Edwards' healing pool at the beginning.

I'd highly recommend this workshop for anyone, like myself, who finds the expression 'celebrating women's creativity' makes them slightly nervous. It was very open and laid back and just a lot of fun at the end of the day.

thank you so much for yesterday. i am still glowing & didn't even have me ReadyBrek!

It was .....GREAT but great is the easy word, I should try and think of one of Ebele's Ebeleisms to do it justice however, (that's only something she can do, so I won't try), in simple terms............FOR ME It was as if the world stopped turning for an afternoon allowing ME precious time to think about ME i.e. WHO I am and how I see ME as opposed to, within the ever-present constraints of, how others see me. So if you've ever prayed for some me time, the money's well worth it. It's not a dream you'd expect to come true and you probably wouldn't allow yourself the time or self-devotion without a workshop, so my advice is do it yesterday!! It definitely stayed with me quite powerfully for a week or two and now seems a distant while ago, but still brings a 'must do that again soon' smile to my lips. Five of us excluding Ebele who is simply one of 'those individuals' God didn't hold back with, spent some quality time with ourselves and just shared silently and vocally with each other. It was nothing less than PHENOMENAL. A sure tonic for those of us on this planet struggling with the complexities of womanhood. Found myself telling friends about it the other day and going into far too much detail...

Inspiration to explore and develop my creativity further...variation of content, relaxed atmosphere, sole female environment

I am a painter so I often work alone. The session gave me the opportunity to see how poets work & how the creative process they use can be used to document my own work.

...lovely to work with one of my favorite poets & realise that our inspiration stems from the same source & that we can start creating in such a short space of time. I LOVE EVERYONE xxx

The session was a good opportunity to clarify ideas thru conversation. It helped to refocus & articulate desires in my heart.

- Zena Edwards - singer, musician, poet

Chance to explore thought in an inspirational way, using a variety of mediums. Fantastic - must do a follow-up in a year to review.
